Valencia CF invite children to Ciudad Deportiva
The group of children who played football in flood-hit Aldaia visit the training ground
The historic flood experienced in the different municipalities of the Valenciaregion has produced images of devastation, but amongst them have been images of hope. One such video is from the town of Aldaia, where four young Valencia CF fans took to the mud to kick around a football.
“My parents told me that we were going to help at my friend Álvaro's house, because it had suffered all the water damage, so we went to help him. One of my friends, Iker, took a ball and we started playing football, as if there was nomud,” describes Alejandro Benito, one of the children.
The video of Alejandro, Roberto, Álvaro, Alexis, Valentina and Iker was seen by the club, and they were later invited to the Ciudad Deportiva to meet the players from the first team.
"Valencia CF offering their stadium to the food bank makes you believe in human beings and today was the culmination of all this. Seeing the faces of the children today, you have to thank the club for that and, as a Valencia CF fan, you feel proud," says Alejandro's father.
